Playing the Crazy Card

MICHIGAN FORENSIC PSYCHIATRY FOR THE CRIMINALLY INSANE

Psychiatric Commitment in Police Abuse - A Common Tactic

In this book "The Blue Wall of Silence" the victim is stalked by her ex-boyfriend, a police officer. When she calls to report the stalking and harassment, she is arrested by the police department that he works for. She is arrested for telecommunications misuse, 4 counts.

The judge orders the victim to have a competency to stand trial (CST) psychiatric evaluation. Judges often side with police officers, and judicial bias is common in police abuse, brutality, and corruption. This would be the third time that the police would attempt to discredit the victim through psychiatric commitments and competency to stand trial.

Arresting the victim is common when the batterer is a police officer. In this true story, the victim was ordered to the Michigan Forensic Psychiatry Center for the evaluation. When she arrives at the facility she cannot help but notice that the windows are broken out and she learns that it was a former insane asylum for the criminally insane and some patients are still housed there today.
